It is not dry rotted and seems to have been oiled cared for. Western Auto primarily sold products under their own private labels, including tires, batteries, electronics, appliances, and tools. Around 1956 Western Auto switched to the Revelation brand of Sporting goods which also had circle arrow logo. This model number G-1257 is a right-handed throwers glove made of brown leather, featuring 5-finger and padded for added comfort.
The circle arrow was removed around 1965. Please see photos. A stacked WA Western Auto logo was added to Western Auto products the left of Revelation script beginning in 1970. Designed for the sport of baseball, this glove is a nostalgic reminder baseball history and craftsmanship from that era.
This glove is in very good used condition. There is one spot where the leather lace has popped. The baseball gloves were made by Railings and Danker Sporting Goods. I will consider any offer.
