The glove does NOT have a Velcro wrist strap. I don't see any ink or marker anywhere on the glove. The inner lining is a little bit on the soft side from being used, but there no damage and interior still in excellent condition as glove extremely comfortable to hand fingers all way up through finger stalls. So once the ball enters pocket of this glove it will not pop out.

The glove also has an incredible pocket as you can clearly see in the photos. I personally go through and try on every glove that sell to describe the condition feel of best my ability. As far as fitting goes, this glove is a snug fit on my average adult size and it very tight around the wrist. The 8th and the 9th photos show how glove wraps itself around a full size 12 inch round softball that's in case you decided to use this for.

So your young player will not struggle wit a hard to use glove. This particular glove is fully broken in, butter soft and it very easy to use. I have an Easton Boys Fully Broken In Tight Fit 11.5 Baseball Glove in excellent condition. Balls are not included.

This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as fits on LEFT hand.
