It totally swallows up a softball. The glove also has an excellent pocket as you can clearly see in the photos. This glove is for the RIGHT handed thrower as fits on LEFT hand. This particular mitt has some inner hand room.

Balls are not included. I personally go through and try on every glove that sell to describe the condition feel of best my ability. I have a Louisville TPS BD204B Womens 34 Softball Catchers Mitt in excellent condition. The pocket on this glove is from another planet.

So once the ball enters pocket of this glove it is not going to pop out. It has a very good DEEP pocket. So its NOT a tight fit glove.
